 | On the Eastern border of Hungary lies the city of Debrecen, approximately 200km Budapest. Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary and in recent years has
been the subject of major re-development. With a complete renovation of the city centre, Debrecen has become one of the most picturesque places to visit. On the main square lies Europe’s largest ceramics fountain. |
| The city plays host to a number of impressive sporting facilities. In addition to
the Sports Park and the Athletics Stadium, Debrecen has hosted a number
of high class swimming championships. Sports Abroad arrange training camps using the facilities at the brand new Olympic Pool. Opened in 2006, the Debrecen pool hosted the 2007 European short course championships. In addition to the 50m competition pool there is also a 25 meter training pool. The main pool floor can be move to different heights and lengths and as such is suitable for Swimming, Water Polo and Synchronised swimming teams. |   |
Teams will stay at the Debrecen Sport Hotel which caters for athletes from a variety of sports. The hotel is located in an area known as the "Great Forest", a quiet, peaceful and beautiful district of Debrecen and is within easy reach of the city centre.
All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, bathrooms, TV's, telephones, mini-bars and Internet access points. There are two conference rooms available to hire for team meetings and a large restaurant providing traditional Hungarian and other international cuisine.
Guests can also use the fitness gym, solarium and car parking for free.

Sports Abroad can arrange all accommodation, transfers and facility hire requirements. The airport transfer time from Budapest is approximately 2 - 3 hours. Alternatively teams could choose to fly to Budapest and then on to Debrecen via the Hungarian airline Malev.
Baltonfuzfo, Hungary |
 | Baltonfuzfo is one and a half hours drive from Budapest. The 8 lane indoor 50m training facility is located near to the Balaton, Hungary's largest lake and most popular holiday destination.
The hotel is situated on the shores of the lake and has it’s own beach area. Baltonfuzfo is the official training destination for the Hungarian Swimming Team.

Szombathely, Hungary |
 | Szombathely is a pretty historic town in western Hungary approximately 2 hours from Budapest and 100km from Vienna in Austria (transfers can be arranged from Vienna if required).
The hotel is situated just one minute walk from the 50m 8 lane indoor pool. Breakfast is served at the hotel whilst lunch and dinner is provided at a family owned restaurant nearby.

| Szazhalombatta is approximately 30 minutes drive from Budapest.
Training camps are arranged using an 8 lane 50m swimming pool which is indoor from November to March and outdoor from April to October.
Athletes will stay in a 3 star hotel within walking distance from the pool.

| The historic city of Eger is located an hour and a half from Budapest.
The indoor 50m pool was built in 2001 and an outdoor 50m facility was added in the summer of 2004. The training facility is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of the hotel and the city.
