Sports Abroad have been working closely with the Municipal Council of Torremolinos for many years and are pleased to announce the opening of their brand new heated outdoor Olympic pool.

Torremolinos is located just 15 minutes from from Malaga International Airport in the Costa del Sol area of Spain. With a warm climate and sunshine all year round, the town is an ideal place to hold a warm weather camp.




The sports centre now boasts both indoor and outdoor 50m pools which are heated to 27-29 degrees with 8 lanes, anti wave lane ropes,backstroke flags, pace clocks and starting blocks.  A fully equipped diving pool has also been constructed next door to the outdoor Olympic pool.

All pools are available all year round and are located within walking distance of our selected hotels. 


The Piscina Olímpica Virgen del Carmen forms part of a larger sporting complex where there is an athletics track, football pitches, indoor arena, tennis courts and a gym.

With the addition of the new heated outdoor pool and the diving centre, the town has already become our most popular location as the facilities are first class and we have secured very special rates with a number of nearby hotels.

We offer a choice of hotels to suit all budgets.  All of our hotels are located within walking distance of the sports centre.



The 4* Cervantes Hotel is one of the best hotels in Torremolinos. The hotel is located in the centre of the town close many shops and restaurants. The beach is just a short 5 minute walk away with the sports centre approximately 15-20 minutes walk in the opposite direction. 

There are a total of 397 rooms (325 doubles, 49 singles and 23 triples) and all rooms have a bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, piped music, safe (extra charge), wifi internet access (extra charge), heating and air conditioning. All rooms also have a terrace and most have sea views.





The 4* Fenix Hotel is located in the centre of Torremolinos near the famous San Miguel street and just 15-20 minutes walk to the sports centre.   The hotel is in a unique position on the edge of a cliff with direct access to the beach. 

There are 121 rooms, 4 junior suites and a royal suite.  All rooms are of the highest standard with satellite TV, bathrooms, safe, minibar, internet connection, air conditioning, telephones etc).  The hotel has a heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, spa, solarium, mini club, hairdresser, convention hall, cyber cafe, snack-bar and a buffet-restaurant with show cooking. 





The 3* Griego Mar Hotel is located near to the centre of Torremolinos where there are many shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the hotel. 


All 414 rooms have a private balcony, air-conditioning, satellite television, telephone and safety deposit box.The hotel also has a games room, cafeteria, snack bar, and a piano bar. There is an outdoor swimming pool and fitness facilities.



 

The 3* Hotel Roc Flamingo is in the centre of Torremolinos, a 10 minute walk from the beach in one direction and 10 minutes walk to the sports centre in the other direction.  It has an outdoor pool, sun terrace and garden, and offers daily entertainment.


All rooms have a private balcony and air conditioning. Safes can be rented and Wi-Fi access is available at a small extra cost.  There is also a games room, with table tennis and pool tables. The hotel’s restaurant serves varied buffet meals. There is also a bar with a poolside terrace area.
