Pescara is an excellent place to hold a swimming training camp. The city, located in central Italy on the Adriatic coast, hosted the 2009 Mediterranean Games and boasts an excellent sports complex.

Spread along 15 miles of coastland, it is the largest and most important city on the Adriatic coast. With 150,000 inhabitants there is plenty for everyone including a wide choice of restaurants, cafes, shops, and nightlife along with some of the finest beaches in the region.

The swimming pool complex is located to the north of the city and is literally 100 metres from the beach and 400 metres from our chosen hotel.

There are four heated pools onsite including an outdoor Olympic pool, 2 x 25m pools and a 33m pool. The Olympic pool is available from the end of May through until the end of September, but from 2011 there will be a “bubble” roof constructed so it can be used all year round – indoor in the winter and outdoor in the summer.

There are also many other sports facilities within the complex including a modern gym which is included in the price for all swimming teams.
