What venues do you recommend for a swimming training camp?
At Sports Abroad, we have a range of destinations available across Europe and beyond. We regularly visit each of our venues and therefore have expert knowledge of all locations.
Please have a browse of the destinations which we offer and then reach out to a member of our team who can suggest our best venues based on your requirements.
How can I go about booking a swim camp?
Simply complete our short online enquiry form and we'll start putting together some tailored options for your club, including a few destinations we think you'll love.
Before getting in touch, we recommend ensuring your club and committee are supportive of the idea of organising a swim camp. Having everyone aligned from the outset allows us to work with you more effectively and helps make the planning process as smooth as possible.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
To secure your booking, we typically require a 30% deposit. This enables us to confirm and secure availability with our hotels, training facilities, and other suppliers on your behalf.
We appreciate that obtaining approval and collecting funds can sometimes take time within a club environment, so we're happy to offer flexible payment arrangements where needed.
For more information about our payment options, please email our team via the button at the top of this page.
When do I need to pay in full?
Your final balance will be due 8 weeks before departure.
What information do you need from us before travel?
You’ll need to make your full balance payment at 8 weeks before departure. We’ll also need you to send us the information we require to make your trip a success – this includes flight details, passenger names, the rooms you want people to stay in, and any dietary requirements.
Can I book travel insurance through you?
We work with a specialist travel insurance partner who can provide a competitive quotation tailored to your group's requirements. Quotes are based on factors such as your destination, trip duration, group size, age profile, and any pre-existing medical conditions.
As a guide, premiums typically range from £15 to £40 per person, although this can vary depending on the specific details of your trip.
If you'd like a travel insurance quotation, simply let us know and we'll be happy to arrange this for you.

If you'd like to add more travellers to your booking, we'll be happy to check availability and provide an updated quotation for the additional participants.
In the event that a swimmer is no longer able to attend, their deposit would normally be non-refundable. However, if you are able to find a replacement swimmer, we'll gladly transfer the booking and waive any loss of deposit.

Available swimming times do vary based on the venue and its availability when you enquire.
Available pool times vary by venue and will depend on availability at the time of booking. For this reason, we strongly recommend reserving your training camp at least 12 months in advance to give your club the best chance of securing its preferred training slots.

Can we have rooms all together in the hotel?
While room allocations can vary depending on the hotel, we work closely with our accommodation partners to ensure your stay is as smooth and convenient as possible.
Where available, we'll request that your group is accommodated in the same area, block, or floor of the hotel, helping coaches, swimmers, and support staff remain close to one another throughout the camp.
Although room locations cannot always be guaranteed, we'll always liaise with the hotel on your behalf to achieve the best possible arrangement for your group.
For more information, or to discuss the requirements for your training camp, please email our team via the button at the top of this page.
Do you offer an activity programme apart from the swim time, or do we just organise that ourselves?
While our camps primarily focus on swimming and training activities, many of our destinations offer a wide range of leisure and recreational options for groups to enjoy during their free time.
Most of our resorts feature excellent on-site facilities, such as beaches, waterparks, beach volleyball, table tennis, and other sports and entertainment activities. We can also recommend a variety of local excursions and attractions at many of our destinations to help you make the most of your time away.
Although we're happy to arrange transfers for off-site activities at an additional cost, we generally recommend that clubs book excursions directly with the activity providers.
For destination-specific recommendations and information on what's available during your camp, please email our team via the button at the top of this page and we'll be happy to help.
